Greg Raiz of Rightpoint will talk about the excellent AR work his company does. Focus will be on the app they made for Boston Beer, the business and technical story behind it.

About the speaker:

In his role as Chief Innovation Officer, Greg works with executives across the Rightpoint portfolio, helping them create organizational change and innovation while also sparking innovation and change from within Rightpoint. He's pushing the adoption of new technology, practice areas and cutting-edge technologies and platforms across the agency from mobile but extending to Voice, IoT, AI, VR, and more. Greg also spearheads Rightpoint Health to provide strategic and service value to the dozens of leading healthcare providers, device manufacturers and pharmaceutical brands that entrust the agency to help them define and drive their customer experience success..

DEMONSTRATIONS

Stuart Trafford from Magic Leap will show us the latest the headset can do, far ahead of the old demos Jeff was showing a few meetings ago.

Come join us for a whole day of techno-frolic with the other AR & VR devs at Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) (http://brooklineinteractive.org/) under the auspices of their Public VR Lab (http://publicvrlab.com/), a truly excellent resource for the community.

Bring your own gear or play with the loaner equipment belonging to BostonVR and BIG. We will have two HoloLens, a Magic Leap, several Vives, an Oculus Rift, loaner machines, a GearVR, and tons of peripherals. Dr. Jacobson and BIG staff will be available to help you get started, if you are new.

I'll also bring a Magic Leap for those who can't make the June 2nd Leap Dev Jam.

Swivel will give insight into the general state of XR, talking about current developments in 360 Video, VR and AR, from Headsets to Software, Platforms to SDKs. In addition to the presentation, they will have multiple headsets available to try out some of their experiences including the Oculus Quest, Mirage Solo, Magic Leap One and Vive Focus.

About the speaker:

Alex Pearce is the Director of Immersive Technology for Swivel where he also manages XR development and production. Before Swivel, Pearce spent two years as a director and cinematographer at Jaunt XR.
